As the name implies, Speed Bingo is a much more rapid game than other variations of bingo and is for those who have little time to play, or those who simply prefer a faster pace of game to the traditional versions of bingo.The game is played with significantly less balls than other variations since it uses just 30 balls. Similarly, the tickets used in speed bingo are also smaller than conventional bingo tickets to allow winners to be named quicker. 

Each ticket contains a grid consisting of three vertical columns and three horizontal rows, making a total of nine boxes with the players’ numbers marked within them.In all other aspects of the game, it is played much like 75 Ball Bingo. Numbers are called out and then marked off appropriately to a predetermined pattern until said pattern is completed – though these games are usually played only to the coverall stage rather than patterns since the grid is so small. 

The first player to complete the coverall is declared the winner. Unlike other forms of bingo, there is only one way of winning in each round and, unless two people happen to complete their pattern with the same finishing number, then there is only one winner per round also.

The speed of the game allows for a much greater number of rounds to be played per hour. And where this allows for a larger amount of winnings each hour, it also allows for a greater loss if you are not careful.
